Three years ago when Marissa Mayer was pregnant, she tried not being too absent and worked almost equally. This year, when she announced on Tumblr a couple days back that she was pregnant with twins; she said something that brought outrage to fellow employees.
Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer mentioned in the post that even though she is pregnant, she will not be taking the paid maternity leave given by the company for sixteen weeks and instead will be working throughout and be limitedly absent.
Many people are now worried about the indirect message that Mayer might be trying to convey to rest of the working women in the post.
The news has already spread like wildfire and given rise to debate if this post was rightly said and if, in the future, employees will be judged for taking the rightful leaves they deserve.
