World Sexual Health Day: All you need to know about Love and Intimacy
September 4 marks World Sexual Health Day. In year 2010, the World Association for Sexual Health decided to celebrate 4th September as World Sexual Health Day. The day is an effort to promote social awareness on the sexual health across the globe.
Notably, the theme of this year is- Love, Bonding and Intimacy. The slogan for first World Sexual Health Day was “Let’s talk about it!” to start breaking fears and Taboos surrounding sexuality.
What is meant by Sexual Health?
Sexual health refers to the many factors that impact sexual function and reproduction. There are so many factors that affect your sexual health. Usually, it means is a state of physical, mental and social being in a relation to sexuality.
Importance of Sexual Health
Sexuality is an integral part of our lives. Affection, love and intimacy contribute to health relationships. But along with all the positive aspects of our human sexuality, there are also illness, mixed emotions and unintended consequences. So it is important to talk about sexual health openly. Taking important precautions can keep all kind of infections at bay.
