According to reports, Kabir Khan directorial Tubelight is the copy of a Hollywood movie, Lost Boy. For those who have not watched Little Boy, it is about a war fantasy drama film in which Pepper (Jakob Salvati) the little boy gets ruthlessly mocked by his fellow classmates because of his small stature.
The film is a little harsh depiction of the bullying he suffers. However, the story witnesses a turn when Pepper’s father and chief protector (Michael Rapaport) goes off to a war and later on is reported missing in action, probably being held as a Japanese prisoner. Pepper gets desperate to have his father return home, and a local priest encourages him to believe that if he has enough faith, he may have the capacity to alter the action of the war; eventually leading to Pepper’s unbelievable mission to find his father against all odds.
