WhatsApp video calling option finally announced for all the users
According to reports, WhatsApp has finally announced the WhatsApp video calling option for all its users starting from November 15th. WhatsApp was launched in the year 2009 and now it has 0ne billion users across the world. It had added voice call service in year 2015 and now the messaging app has rolled out the option of WhatsApp video calling for its users.
Here is how the WhatsApp video calling feature will work?
Video calling option will work on all devices with Android 4.1 and above. Notably, the rollout is happening at the same time for iOS, Android and windows, which means they are covering the top mobile operating systems across the world.
Users will need to upgrade their app, and then they will be able to see the new feature. When you will click on the call button, you will start getting a new video call option along with the existing voice call option.
Can it be done in a group?
Notably, at the moment the video calling option can be used between two users and not among the whole group.
WhatsApp has said it does not assume about the quality of the network from which the call is actually made, but the company believes that it will improve when the system will recognize that the network quality is good.
WhatsApp, which is owned by Facebook, has announced that it has over 160 monthly million active users in India, thus making it one of the biggest markets for the social media giant. The company in a statement has said it was really important to roll out WhatsApp video calling option in India and it wants to make this feature available to everyone.
After the launch of WhatsApp video calling option, it will compete with the likes of Apple’s Facetime, Skype and Google’s newly – launched Duo.
