Gout is chronic painful and progressive condition characterized by deposition of uric acid in tissues.
The common risk factors of gout include obesity, alcohol intake, high blood pressure, certain drug such as thiazide diuretics, low dose of aspirin cyclosporine and tuberculosis medications
Drugs causing high production of uric acid in the body such as leukemias, hemoglobin disorders, etc.
Uric acid crystals accumulate in small fluid-filled sacs (bursae) around the body joints. These crystals cause inflammation of bursae causing pain and swelling in the joints.
Papaya can Treat Gout:
Boil about three litres of water and then wash green papaya with this boiled water. Remove the peel, slice and remove seeds and cut in small cubes. Place the cubes in water, boil and add tea leaves or green tea (5 tea bags) just like the tea making process.
This concoction is very effective in treating gout and controlling uric acid in the blood.
Do not remove the skin of papaya.
