The World Bank has finally approved a USD 1.5 billion loan of India for the Clean India Campaign. The move will support Indian government in its efforts to ensure all citizens of India basic amenities such as improved sanitation and end of the practice of open defection by 2019.
According to the statistics of World Bank, there are 2.4 billion people, who lack access to improved sanitation globally and more than 750 million people lives in India, with 80 percent living in rural areas.
The loan will support the PM’s mission of Swaach Bharat Abhiyaan and will provide better and improved lifestyle to the people of India.
