Kapil Mishra, the water minister has assured that Yamuna river will become clean in next 3 years that people will able to take bath in it.
Kapil Mishra said that, “Rivers are a reflection of our cities. In 3 years the rivers will be clean enough to take a dip in.”
He also said that Delhi does not require water from internal sources like Renuka dam. Several individual and organization, which are concerned for the river conservation, are brought together on the occasion of Indian River day.
Some activists and conservationist were also rewarded for their outstanding work in protecting the rivers.
