At around 1:40 AM, Delhi experienced a mild earthquake. Measuring 3.0 on the Richter scale, the Earthquake hit Delhi and it’s surrounding National Capital Region.
Miraculously, there was no loss or damage to lives or property, and people continued to sleep peacefully throughout.
It should be noted that Delhi-NCR falls in a seismic zone. This has given rise to concern about safety of buildings, about their design and capability to withstand a quake, like what was experienced earlier in Kathmandu.
