The Taj Mahotsav is an annual 10-day long event to celebrate and acknowledge India’s rich cultural, art, dance and music heritage. The festival is organized just a stone throw away from the magnificent Taj Mahal. The event gives encouragement to artists and artisans and provides a common platform for performing arts.
Taj Mahotsav is a culturally active and vibrant platform bringing together India’s finest culture and arts together. Artisans and craftsmen from the entire nation converge and gather to showcase their art such as zardozi work, marble work, carpets, etc.
From the mid-February every year, the Taj Mahotav is organized at Shilpgram, Agra. ‘It is a festive introduction to India and Uttar Pradesh. India’s extensive arts, crafts and culture are on display at this event. There are a bundle of activities like folk music, shayari (poetry) and classical dance performances that keep you intrigued.’
The impressive and inspiring Mahotsav will start from 18th February 2013 till 27th February 2013. The spectacular festival presents an awe-inspiring procession inspired by the splendor and grandeur of the grand Mughals.
