According to sources, Foreign Minister Sushama Swaraj will travel Pakistan to attend the Heart of Asia security conference that will take place on December 8 in Islamabad. She will be accompanied by foreign secretary S. Jaishankar.
Notably, this will be the first meeting two countries after the meeting of Narendra Modi and Nawaz Sharif in July earlier this year.
Issues like terrorism in bilateral relations would be discussed. Earlier, government was thinking to send V.K Singh but after PM’s handshake with Sharif in Paris summit, government decided to send Sushama Swaraj.
The minister will return to India next day after the meeting.
