Shanthakumaran Sreesanth, who has had a history of being in news for all the wrong reasons, has once again managed to grab the limelight. Also known to be a good dancer the fierce bowler has been signed as one of the contestants of the popular dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa: Season 7’.
Jhalak Dikhla Jaa is the desi version of the famous American series ‘Dancing with the Stars’. The show starts in the first week of June and will be aired on weekends at 9PM. It stars prominent faces from the television industry like Mouni Roy, Shakti Mohan, Pooja Bose, a long time no see Kritika Kamra, VJ Andy, Purab Kholi, Sukhwinder Singh, Sophie Choudry, Ashish Sharma and the eight-year old child prodigy Akshat Singh. Sreesanth has always had an interest in dancing and after being handed a life-ban by Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) he is ready to play off his dancing skills. The seventh season of the show is going to be hosted by actor and former ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ contestant Ranvir Shorey and Season 6 winner Drashti Dhami.
The judging panel consists of – Bollywood diva Madhuri Dixit, director Karan Johar, and choreographer Remo D’Souza. This time round there is a new addition to this panel with ‘Dancing With The Stars’ 2014 winner Maksim Chmerkovskiy joining the trio. Chmerkovskiy is a Ukrainian dance expert and professional Latin ballroom dancer.
Sreesanth had earlier took part in a dance show ‘Ek Khiladi Ek Hasina’ which was judged by Pakistani cricketer Wasim Akram and Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen. For him dance is not only a passion but also a stress-buster as he is very enthusiastic for break-dancing.
