Indian Women cricket team lost the game but won the hearts
The dream of winning the world cup for Indian women was shattered yesterday. The Indian team lost to England in the finals played on Sunday. At one point, it seemed that Team India would easily win the match, but in the end, the match completely got reversed. After the defeat, many celebrities including all the legends of Indian cricket came forward to increase the morale of Team India and gave a commendation to reach this point.
Former India captain Sourav Ganguly also fervently admired this performance of the women’s team. He said that the women team has performed well in the entire tournament, they reached to finals, and it is a matter of pride.
Ganguly said that this defeat will pinch us more than the 2003 World Cup finals because the final was one sided in one way but in this match, we were holding up to 90 overs, and finally the match got slipped. That’s why they lost the defeat. Saurav said that the young players will lose this defeat till next World Cup but the senior players who will not be able to play the next World Cup will feel this defeat till lifetime.

England’s Women Cricket Team won the ICC Women’s World Cup 2017 title and took the trophy back for the fourth time. In this title match, England won the toss and had chosen to bat first and scored 228 runs in 50 overs and gave India the score of 229 runs. Chasing the target, the India could manage 219 runs in 48.4 overs and England won the match by 9 runs and won the World Cup for the fourth time. Poonam Raut scored 86 runs in India’s favor. Harmanpreet Kaur scored 51 runs.

Earlier, in 2005 Australia defeated India in the finals and this time England defeated team India by 9 runs and broke the dream of India winning the World Cup. Another Shrubsole was adjudged player of the match for excellent bowling in the tournament. While Tommy Beaumont, who scored more than 400 runs in this World Tournament, was chosen the player of the series.
