Shoe Controversy: Rahul hinted it as BJP’s planned act, youth detained :- A shoe was thrown at Congress Vice President, Rahul Gandhi today, while he was addressing a road show in Sitapur. Though the shoe missed him narrowly but it was really embarrassing for him. According to reports, the youth is identified as a resident of locality of Shastri Nagar.
Youth was immediately detained by the police and was taken to the city police station. Though throwing shoes on politicians is not new in India. People often throw a shoe on politicians to express their anger and frustration on them. Last year, Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal was also attacked by a shoe. According to reports Rahul Gandhi was riding in an open top vehicle on a road in Sitapur town around 85 km from Lucknow when a shoe hit the person who was standing behind the Rahul Gandhi named Jitin prasad.
Rahul Gandhi who is one of the active politicians is one of the protected politicians too! He was actually shocked when the shoe was thrown at him. Mr. Gandhi was seen glancing at the shoe and then looking away after the object missed him. But, during the entire scene, he was waving at the crowd. Vice President Rahul Gandhi was quoted saying that BJP-RSS spread hatred but congress and he himself operate with love and he assures that they will stick to it.
According to latest reports, the shoe thrower claims to be a journalist. When he was taken to the police van he told that congress has left the country in dumps in the past 60 years. According to him, they have not done for the country.
Rahul Gandhi,45 is on a month long “Kisan Yatra” for upcoming elections. Well, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi is not new to this, earlier also many versatile politicians were attacked by shoe or ink etc. These kinds of incidents even posses serious questions over these minister’s security.
