‘SHE’ can conquer the world

‘SHE’ can conquer the world

“If you educate a man, you educate a man. If you educate a woman, you educate a generation.”

– Brigham Young

‘Art Konsult’, an establishment dedicated to promote and nurture the Indian contemporary art has organized an exhibition in Lado Sarai, New Delhi, where it lays emphasis on the influence and importance of women in our society. Work of artists: Anupan Sud, Dhiraj Chowdhury, Sudhir Kastagir etc. have been put on display, to emote this strong expression.

A mother or a doctor, a wife or an engineer, a sister or a sportswoman, she plays each and every role with great responsibility and utmost dedication. A woman is the one who builds up a healthy society but here she is, in the modern world of ours, still living in the chains. In the last hundred years, the world around us has changed; women now have more rights and more authority! But even after all these steps taken by the government, have things around really changed for the positive? Have they been able to transform this patriarch world? Maybe not!

The world has fought wars for her, be it Helen of Troy or Rani Padmini or Princess Bilqess Bhaaghi Soomra, yet, they consider her inferior. Changing the way people think, live and practice requires much more effort than these rhetoric policies. But against all the odds that one faces in life, women have been able to empower themselves successfully and achieve impeccable heights in every field. Despite the numerous obstacles that one faces in life there are examples which show that women have strived hard enough to prove themselves strong and self-reliant.

A woman is the origin of the society as a woman makes a family, a family makes a home and a home makes a society. So, a society can never come in existence without her input and influence. From politics to sports and from entertainment to business, women have contributed in all the fields. They play a very pivotal role in constructing a healthy society which is an essential harbinger for development.

The show runs from Monday to Saturday (11 a.m. to 7 p.m.) until 7th of June, 2014 at ‘Art Konsult’, F-209, Lado Sarai, New Delhi.
