Home Minister Rajnath Singh sparred with opposition over the word ‘Secular’ today during a special discussion that was going- on in the winter session of Parliament.
He said “Secular is the most misused word in our country and due continuous misuse of the word, there have been instances of tension in society. That we usually call intolerance and I think it must stop.”
Rajnath Singh made this statement taking over the congress, which has come to session prepared to attack government over the issue of increasing intolerance in India.
He said B.R Ambedkar did not believe that it was necessary to add words ‘secular’ and ‘socialist’ in preamble. For this he faced massive protest from the side of congress.
