To celebrate the 52nd anniversary of Sashastra Seema Bal, the sentinel of Indo- Nepal and Indo- Bhutan held a press conference at Force headquarters R.K. Puram on December 22nd, 2015.
Addressing the media, Bansi Dhar Sharma, Director General SSB explained the new initiatives taken by the force for better border management and also threw some light on the achievements of operational front.
The force is working on various areas and issues of India and one of them is on Naxal operations. Till date 148 Naxals have been apprehended with Arms and ammunitions, combat dresses, utensils and literature.
Apart from them, the force has started 1093 as their helpline number on which people can contact if they encounter any crime around them. The main aim behind it is ‘ zero tolerance’ to corruption.
The force have declared Zero Tolerance to corruption in SSB and shared his determination with people and our seeking people’s support in the initiative.
