JDU-BJP alliance ready to rule Bihar
The politics in Bihar is now changing every hour. Since last 15 days, there are many things that have changed the complete scenario of Bihar politics. From Nitish Kumar’s support to NDA in presidential elections to his resignation and then ready to take oath again, Bihar has seen a lot of things within a short period of time.
Nitish Kumar resigned after Lalu’s press conference
Nitish Kumar had resigned from the post of Chief Minister of Bihar on Wednesday. Before his resignation, RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav held a press conference with his wife Rabdi Devi and son Tejaswi Yadav. In his press conference, he clearly said that Nitish Kumar has neither asked for Tejaswi’s resignation not did he ask for an answer on corruption charges. He said that Tejaswi will keep his part wherever required but will not resign from the post.
Soon as his press conference ended, Nitish Kumar summoned his MPs, MLAs and other leaders for a meeting. After the meeting, he left to meet the Governor. At around 7p.m. he gave his resignation to the Governor. Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Nitish soon after his resignation. He said that in the fight against corruption, Nitish Kumar has taken the right step. We welcome Nitish to fight corruption.

Nitish Kumar said he has done everything for the great-alliance. He has always worked with the norms of alliance. He said that whatever was going on, would be giving a wrong impression that was important to stop. He said that has done everything possible for the people of Bihar. He did not ask for Tejaswi Yadav’s resignation but advised him and Lalu Yadav to clear everything and get off the charges as soon as possible.
JDU minister K.C. Tyagi said in his statement that Nitish Kumar has always been clear on his stands regarding corruption. He has never tolerated any corruption charges on his ministers. He has asked for resignations before also from his ministers accused of corruption.
Soon after all this, Sushil Modi said that BJP will have a meeting and then think of supporting JDU.
Lalu Yadav calls press conference
Lalu Yadav calls for a press conference at his home after Nitish Kumar’s resignation. In this press conference, he directly targeted Nitish Kumar. He said that Nitish Kumar’s resignation is a well-planned move. He said that Nitish Kumar is accused of murder charges. He said that a suit of 302 and 307 has already been filed against Nitish Kumar. Murder is a bigger crime than Corruption. Moreover, JDU is not a police station where Tejaswi is supposed to answer.
He will answer in front of the officials and wherever required. He said that neither Nitish nor Tejaswi should become the Chief Minister but a third person. He blamed Nitish Kumar to be ‘sanghi’. He said that Nitish Kumar had already done his setting with Bhartiya Janta Party. He said that during the presidential elections also, Nitish Kumar has not denied his support to NDA’s candidate.
BJP announced support to JDU
At around 10’o clock in the night, the Bhartiya janta Party announced their support to Janta Dal United (JDU) and claimed to reform the government. The Governor agreed and gave them 28th July to sworn. Hence, once again Nitish Kumar became the Chief Minister of Bihar but this time with a changed partner and changed deputy CM. Sushil Modi was chosen for the post of deputy Chief Minister. With this, The BJP-JDU alliance again came to power.
Tejaswi Yadav led protest march to Raj Bhavan
After the sudden downfall of the government and then reform of the government with a different partner, Lalu Yadav’s son Tejaswi Yadav announced a protest march. At 2 midnight, under the leadership of Tejaswi Yadav, RJD supporters marched to the Raj Bhavavn. Having highest number of seats in the Vidhan Sabha, they claimed that they should be given the chance to form the government first. They declared it as a betrayed day and said that RJD will protest across Bihar from morning as the Betrayal Day. Rahul Gandhi gave a statement calling Nitish Kumar deceitful and double-dealer.
RJD declares Betrayal Day, protests across Bihar
RJD has started to protest in different parts of Bihar against Nitish Kumar since morning. Many parts of Bihar have faced traffic jams due to the betrayal day protest. Lalu Yadav said that Tejaswi Yadav will become the CM after next election. Meanwhile, 16 JDU MLAs are not happy with Nitish Kumar’s decision.
The Governor asked Nitish to prove his majority in the house the next day. Sharad Yadav and Anwar Ali are the two JDU ministers who came forward and spoke about the unrest created by Nitish Kumar. RJD has summoned his minister for a meeting at 11 a. m. whereas Congress will have meeting with its ministers at 1 p.m.
