Labour Day 2024, celebrated worldwide on the 1st May, serves to remember the contributions of labourers who are dedicated and tirelessly work. This holiday is honored regardless of the position or work of a person.The day is celebrated to honor the achievements of the laborers all over the word. International Labour’s Day is also referred to as May Day and over 80 countries crown it as a national holiday.

Motive Of The Day –
The core reason why May Day is celebrated Is to bring about the acknowledgement of the sacrifices and dedication of the global workforce. Prosperity is not possible without the devotion and contribution of the workers, and no nation can get there without their efforts.Boundlessness of such struggle brings all of line of workers together, while some might be acknowledged. It is a day full of historical evidence. All of us must learn the difficulties of the workers of the past and their revolt against unjust workloads.
History –
The US workers suffered from cruel exploitation by their employers. It cannot be overstated that those workers worked like animals. The uneven distribution of heavy works to each of the working staff has been the reason for frequent sickness that led them to death! Firstly, there were two main issues that the workers faced. The first problem was that the hours of work were not fair, and there weren’t any safety regulations for workers to abide by.
These made the workers to stop work and protest in the streets for their demands. Many workers spilt their blood in their fight for legal work/8 hour day. The first huge controversy was openly voiced when the Federation of Organized Trade and Labor Unions endorsed the workers’ viewpoint in 1884. The 8 -hour working per day was brought to light and May 1st was declared International Day of workers.

Good to see such a huge crowd, it’s been a little while since i last spoke to an audience. To begin with, allow me to create a solemn atmosphere by introducing to our amicable chief guest, a respected principal, lecturers and my students.It is quite fulfilling for me to say this on this special day of our great history.
