9/11 terror attacks, 16 years later
Nobody can forget 9/11 terror attacks that shook USA and the entire world. It’s been 16 years now, but still the pain of losing loved ones in the terrible attack is same. On September 11, 2001, an American Airlines Boeing 767, Flight 11, collided into World Trade Center’s north and south tower. About 30 minutes later, a third plane, American Airlines Flight 77, crashed into the west side of the Pentagon near Washington, D.C and a fourth plane, United Flight 93, crash- landed, killing all the 40 passengers onboard.

Notably, more than 3,000 people (including more than 400 police officers) were killed and more than 10,000 were wounded during the attacks. It was the deadliest attack in US history.
The attack was headed by Osama Bin Laden who was killed in 2011 (after a decade) by US Special Forces SEAL Team. After his death, by then President Obama had stated, “The of death of Bin Laden marks the most significant achievement to date in our nation’s effort to defeat al Qaeda.”
It was a strong reply to al- Qaeda and was tribute to all those who had lost their live in the brutal attack
