Reliance Jio will soon roll out DTH services, which will affect many big players
Reliance Jio has already taken the Telecom Industry by storm by its 4G services. And according to reports, now it is once again all set to give cut – throat competition to some big players of DTH and broadband industry.
The company has more in its sleeve and as per reports, in a few months Reliance Jio will roll out its direct to home services, which could make situation hard for the existing broadband as well as DTH players.
When will the services roll out?
Though, there is no final clarity over the pricing and date of launch but the service will come in the form of a high- speed optical fibre – that will push speeds up to 1 Gbps. As far as the prices are concerned, the company has assured that it will offer services like with all its Jio Services.
As per reports, all the customers, who will avail the services of Jio will get access to high- speed internet, as well as a host of Jio services. The hardware will include a set – top –box as well as an Android smartbox that will help them to control the content and play the games.
What all Indian customers will get as a luxury?
In India speed of 16 Mbps is considered a luxury but with the Jio offering, if everything goes according to plan, customers will able to play high -definition games with multiple players. Apart from it, 4k videos will also become accessible without any buffering.
A lot of broadband services provide television channels and it is not new for them, Airtel, MTNL all are providing them. However, none of them have been successful. Reliance Jio is promising that it will locally play your content all across your devices from P.C to hardware.
