The Vice President of Congress, Rahul Gandhi began his Kisna Yatra from Deoria on Tuesday. This Yatra will cover 223 of Uttar Pradesh’s 403 assembly constituencies and is attempt by his party to win seats in the State after 27 years.
Gandhi started out his campaign by criticising Modi and how he had “forgotten farmers.” He said- “Modiji talked a lot about farmers and how he intended to help them. But as soon as he came to power, farmers were promptly forgotten.”
Loan waivers, reduced power tariff and securing “rights of the poor, farmers and labourers in government resources” are some of the things that Gandhi has promised.
