Prince George will start going to school from September, here is all you need to know
Little Prince George is all grown up now and according to reports, he will start going to school later this year. According to reports, Kensington Palace has made the announcement that Prince George would start his school at Thomas’s Battersea in London this September. Everything that involves Prince George has been subjected to a lot of speculations. And George schooling was a much talked topic. By choosing Thomas Battersea, Prince William and his beautiful wife have made an unconventional choice.
Notably, the choice came as a surprise to royal watchers. George had been widely expected to attend Wetherby, the exclusive pre-prep school in Notting Hill where Princes William and Harry went for studies as young boys. But this is not the case this time. Prince William and his beautiful wife Kate has already decided something different for their little prince George.
About the school
According to school’s website, it is a busy, thriving purposeful school. The school has 540 boys and girls between the ages of four and 13. The motto of the school is “Be kind,” and the school places great emphasis on confidence and humility, as well as on academic results.
According to a statement issued by the palace, “Their Royal Highnesses are delighted to have found a school where they are confident George will have a happy and successful start to his education.”
Notably, as soon as the news broke out, a mother through e-mail reverted,”We are all excited but also worried. What if one of our kids bites George, and what if the school fees rocket?”
The e-mail continued: “The Duke and Duchess have made it clear that they do not wish Prince George’s attendance at Thomas’s to change its aims, values, or ethos in any way. They would like, as far as is possible, for him to enjoy the same education that all of our pupils receive and for them to join the school community as all of our new parents do.”
Mommy Kate wants Prince to attend coed school
According to reports, Kate, who was apparently keen for George to attend a coed school so that Charlotte could join him later on. Thomas’s is one of four family-run schools in London. They have a Kensington branch, a stone’s throw from the Palace, but William and Kate have opted for the Battersea School.
