The Nepalise Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal will be visiting the Jhakri town in Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh to inspect the underground Nathpa-Jhakri hydro-power project which is Asia’s biggest hydro-power project, today.
This hydro-power project has an approximate power generation capacity of 1500 megawatt.

Napalese PM Dahal is expected to hold a discussion on the hydro-power project in his country with the officials of Sutlej Jal Vidyut Nigam which is a Navratna Public Sector Undertaking.
The Sutlej Jal Nigam is currently commissioning various hydro-power projects in several Indian states such as Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Arunachal Pradesh.
An elaborate security arrangement has been made for the visiting Nepal Prime Minister.
