Philippines President who recently made an abusive remark on US President Barack Obama has expressed his regret on the whole issue.
Notably Rodrigo Duterte, Philippines President made the remarks on Monday before flying to Laos, where he was supposed to attend a regional summit.
Even though his recent comment does not amount to apology but still he has expressed his regret over his abusive remarks.
The flap over his remarks started when a reporter asked him how he intends to explain the extrajudicial killings of drug dealers to Mr. Obama . On which Mr. Duterte responded in his typical style and said “I am a President of a sovereign state and we have long ceased to be a colony. I do not have any master except the Filipino people, nobody but nobody. You must be respectful. Do not just throw questions. ****** *** I will swear at you in that forum.”
Earlier he had cursed the Pope and UN General Secretary- General Ban Ki Moon.
