Director Omung Kumar on Wednesday said that no scenes featuring Richa Chadha were cut from Sarbjit, as such cuts were opposed by her.
He said that there is no chance that her role was cut short. And that it was a bound script, and the film was the same since beginning, nothing was edited.
Richa Chadha in Sarbjit
Sarbjit was released on May 20, based on the real life story of an Indian Farmer Sarabjit Singh who was convicted of terrorism and spying and languished in a Pakistani jail for several years, while his sister fight to bring back her brother to India.
He was attacked by inmates at a prison in Lahore in April 2013, resulting in his death few days later.
Aishwariya Rai Bachchan played the role of Sarabjit’s sister Dalbir, Whereas Randeep Hooda was seen in the lead playing Sarbjit and Richa Chadha played his wife.
The “Masaan” actress was unhappy after the release of the movie, as she felt that her best scenes were edited, also the one scene where she was shown bonding with Aishwariya’s character has no context since all her scenes showing her kinship with Aishwariya edited out.
