Omar Abdullah detained at US airport:- Omar Abdullah, former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir was detained at US airport for ‘two hours’ just for the ‘random’ checking purpose. He tweeted yesterday that he was stopped at US airport for two hours and this has happened thrice in his three visits to New York.
Why was he there?
He went there for an event. He was called by New York University to speak at that event for students. He stated that being held up for two hours at airport, which was worthless and wasted for checking he should be at home instead. Whenever he visits to US he has been always detained for random immigration checking purpose.
He referred Shah Rukh Khan
Shah Rukh Khan was stuck in the same situation he was also caught up in the US airport for New York and Jersy airport thrice. He mentioned that he understand the security and respect it as well but being hold up in the same situation irritates him.
Omar Abdullah tweeted ‘randomnes became tiresome’
Omar Abdullah tweeted that the process of random checking is growing up for tiresome now. He added that he could not even pass his time like Shah Rukh Khan did by catching pokemon because he has no interest in it. In August, US security had also apologized to Shah Rukh Khan for the discomfort they made him feel.

Omar Abdullah is the youngest Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir so far. At the age of 29 he was selected at 12th Lok Sabha . He was a member of both the Committee on Transport and Tourism and the Ministry of Tourism’s Consultative Committee.
Airport authority must enforce high security and should be potent enough to target every terror.
