Amritsar MLA Navjot Kaur Sidhu termed Congress MLA Tarlochan Soondh’s act of throwing shoe at Punjab’s Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia as shameful and said that the people should not mistreat each other in the assembly.
“This is a very shameful act and will be remembered for a long time. One can mend things verbally. There should be a pure environment in Vidhan Sabha. They can very much mistreat each other in their own assembly constituencies and outside the assembly,” she said.
Earlier on Wednesday, Soondh threw shoe at Majithia during an ongoing session of the state assembly.

The Congress MLAs who are on a protest had challenged the Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal for a discussion on the prevailing problems in Punjab.
12 bills were passed in the assembly on Wednesday, even in such chaos.
The speaker Charanjit Atwal suspended the Zero Hour and Question Hour session following the increasing chaos in the House.
Atwal even requested the protesting Congress MLAs to go back to their respective seats, for ‘he wanted to run the House smoothly’.
Following this the assembly was also adjourned for 15 minutes.
