Governor of Nagaland P .B Acharya has declared Nagaland’s Hornbill festival will take place at Heritage Village, Kisama, among traditional horn and drums.
Announcing the 10-day long festival Acharya said that the rich variety of Nagaland would ensure tourism and investment in the Nagaland.
Emphasising on harmony among tribes and communities of Nagaland, the governor said that social unity and economic well-being are keys for state’s well being.
“Nagaland is rich in biodiversity, both plant and fauna … This biodiversity would ensure that tourism and investment would come to the state,” Acharya said.
He also added that main aim of carnival is to preserve, promote and protect the unique cultural diversity and rich traditions of Naga people.
