The Central Ministry of Women and Child Development have launched ‘E-office’ in an attempt to bring transparency and responsibility in its operation.
On the occasion of launch of ‘E-Office’, Women and Child Development Minister Maneka Gandhi said about 12,000 files of her ministry has been digitized since July 2015.
The file is then processed electronically as per particular method and particular chain of command.
The ministry of National Commission for Women would also go paperless. The government has also decided to work with Microsoft and other information and communication technology (ICT) firms to take India into the next level in the age of digital revolution.
