Singing sensation Asha Bhhosle turns 84 today! Entire Bollywood industry is wishing her on her special day, and we would love to add our wish. Happy birthday Ashaji, may god bless you with good heath! She celebrated her birthday with her grand kids in Geneva today.
She has been the voice we often choose when we are in love or out of it, when it is time to celebrate or cry your heart out or when we just want to be. She has sung legendary songs that still rule our hearts.
From past six decades – from Zeenat Aman to Urmila Matondkar, from Rekha to Vidya Balan and the likes, she is ruling the industry. From crooning classical numbers to teaming up with western artistes Boy George and Michael Stipe, Asha is one versatile singer who has done it all. She has changed with the time that has added more beauty to her career.
She also holds the Guinness Book of World Records for being the most recorded artist in the history of music. She was also honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2000 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2008.
After six decades of singing in 20 Indian languages and foreign language too, Asha Bhosle continues to be loved for melodious voice. From seductive to romantic there is no category in which Asha Bhosle doesn’t her luck.
