My Wife’s Dairy Part-2

My Wife’s Dairy Part-2

“When you will think about her marriage? She is now 25 and I have to face this society everyday”, I heard Maa’s voice from the room. She was arranging the materials of her room and meanwhile was discussing with Papa, who I think was sitting somewhere in the room.

“What do you think, I am not doing anything? I have done everything for her marriage, don’t worry. She wants to study some more, so let her do of her wish. I know she is not my own daughter but that does not become the reason of not loving her. I always loved her more than my own daughter. Karan was my brother, but I didn’t know that he would leave this world before me” Papa was saying in very painful voice. But what was happening to me then, everything was getting blurred in front of me. I think I was about to faint down but somehow I handled myself. And went back to the main door to knock and let them aware of my entrance.

“Why you always start remembering all that?” I heard Maa while going back to the main door. Then I knocked and Maa came outside.

“Hey! You’ve come? How was the shopping? Priya! What happened?”

“Maa, I’m tired. Please I will talk later. I want to sleep”

Just then Papa came outside of the room. He said nothing but watched me and I also looked at him. His face was moisturized and I know it was not sweat. I quickly went to my room, closed the door, lied on bed, took a pillow and what would have happened ahead, you can understand. I wish it could be a dream only but it was real, I wish it would be a drama but no it was actually real. That sea was so deep and I was drowning to the end of the level. Every day only a single thought ran my mind. Why they care for me so much? I am not their own daughter. I never ever thought of this condition in my life. The sea was really deep but when angels come, you never die. Their love made me forget everything, and I realized Angels do live on this earth. They are my god, and I can do anything for them. Marrying Mohit instead of Rishi is just a little gift to my god. Now I never cry or get depressed on that fact, instead I am proud that I have got them as my parents.

I think, we have talked a lot and now we should take rest. B-bye, will see you tomorrow. Good Night.

His family is very caring; no one lets me do anything. His mother is too good. She doesn’t seem to look like that mother-in-law we see in daily soaps. Today she came to me and we talked about our past lives. She told me how Mohit got this job and what he is planning for future. In the beginning I was not interested in listening but soon… I don’t know why but I got interest in this guy’s life. Mohit is a passed out from Delhi University and is working as an Assistant Manager in State Bank of India in a branch somewhere in Delhi, I don’t remember the exact name of that place. But yes, tomorrow I will be at that place with Mohit, I don’t know how it will go now. Another new place! And not just for some days while for a long. Maa and Papa will also come tomorrow for our farewell. Oh! I forgot that I have to pack my materials. Sorry, will meet you tomorrow, if possible. Have a good night.

9th January

Hey! You know where we are? We are in Delhi, Rajouri Garden. We reached here in the evening. Today I also met Maa and Papa. They were so happy to see me and I was also. Just minutes ago I spoke to maa on phone. She was advising me the tips to handle everything in the city. Mohit has gone to market to bring some household materials. You know? Today something very interesting happened in the train. I and Mohit were sitting on our seats; soon a person came and sat on the front seat. The guy started staring me. I thought he will stop doing this after sometime as most of the people do but he was continuously watching as if he was scanning me with his eyes. I was feeling embarrassed, so I looked at Mohit. He understood and his gesture told me to calm down. I was scared about his reaction to this but what I saw was so comic for me specially. I saw how Mohit solved the matter; he started staring that guy the same as he was watching me. Hahaha… That guy got embarrassed as his eyes were telling and after that, he didn’t even try to watch me again. What a solution? It was really entertaining. Oh! Someone is knocking, I think Mohit is back. See you little diary.

This is how our life was going after marriage. Ironically, we both knew each other but did not know about each other. She was just as a stranger for me. We only talked when needed. I knew that there was something in Priya’s mind which she did not want to share with me, or else I was not that much special for her. That evening I deliberately went late to my flat because I was confused, what would I do there? I had no topic to discuss with her and even she did not have as I knew. Our daily life was going as same. I still used to wake up by alarm but yes a bed tea was always there. She cared for me but the reason why she talked very less, I don’t know. It was all same until that day when I and Priya went for shopping. Actually I was in office when I received an SMS, yes it was an SMS not a call. “Sorry to disturb you but I have something to say. I need to buy some materials but I am pure stranger in Delhi. Could you please take me for shopping today? If you have time.” I was really amazed. It was exactly like a business message. And I got shocked when I watched the message time. I was reading that message after one hour its arrival. I quickly replied to the message, “Get ready, we will be leaving after half an hour”.”Just then I left my office and went to flat. She was ready and was watching TV. I went to the room and changed my clothes. She said nothing and kept on watching the TV.

“Come on, let’s go”, I said.

She stood up without saying anything and started following me. I locked the door and started walking towards my car.

“Is that Metro train?” a voice came from behind and yes it was hers. I was really amazed. A gentle happiness touched me from inside. At least she said something. We live near blue line metro and it is very clearly seen from our flat. I

“Yes, it is”, I replied.

“I want to travel in that. Can we?

I could not deny. So I agreed. Metro was clearly seen from there but we could not go there by walk, it was still about 2-3 km far.

“Yeah We can. But we will have to go by car to at least metro parking.” I replied.

She said nothing and started walking towards car. This time I followed her. That day was the beginning of something new in our life. An unforgettable incident ahead was to bring a new sense of feeling and emotion between both of us.
