Imre Kertész dies at 86

Imre Kertész was not only a Hungarian author and a Nobel laureate in2002, he was also a survivor of one of the worst times in the history.

Born on 9th November, he was a survivor of the Holocaust concentration camps. The strong man passes away on Thursday at the age of 86. The reason for his death was a years of suffering from Parkinson’s disease.

He won the Nobel Prize “for writing that upholds the fragile experience of the individual against the barbaric arbitrariness of history”.

His work has been a testimony for the sufferings of many and he will always remain a celebrated writer.
