Let’s do possible things this New Year
The moment the New Year approaches, each one of us get excited about how to celebrate it, whether to go to a party or just call friends home, whether to go on a date or to catch up with someone you haven’t met since a long time and so on. It’s somehow not only about us, but also how our friends are celebrating it. People will question you about what are you doing and might want to show that their plans are better, but you know what? Just let it be! There are things people usually don’t consider on New Year’s Eve:
Make achievable resolutions: Every year we make a resolution and every year we fail to complete it. Ever thought why? That is solely because none of us make resolutions which can be turned into reality. Make resolutions which even if you can’t achieve at least you can give it a try to achieve it. Saying that you would earn Lakh of rupees in a month but not work towards it, would not make you achieve the goal however, planning small steps towards the bigger goal and achieving them would get you closer to your ultimate goal.
Make Plans that you can keep: Everyone is partying in the evening and you are invited by your friend to one of the parties. You want to go but you can’t, because of family or some other commitment. At such times it is advisable to not commit to multiple plans. If you really want to go, then convince your parents about the idea or finish your work soon and catch up for a late dinner. You can always visit the party a little late and leave a little early.
Spend your time with family and friends: We know that we all have become tech savvy in recent times. No matter what the occasion is, either because of work or because of one’s selfie addiction, you would find people constantly engaging in some form of technology. However, make sure you don’t do this on New Year. Spend your time with family and friends, watch a TV series with family or catch up for some time with friends but just don’t keep yourself surrounded with tech gadgets.
Work as less as possible: We are not advising you to keep yourself away from work. We understand a lot of you enjoy working and a lot of you are in a profession where you cannot take an off or rest however it is also necessary to give yourself and your mind a day to relax, so we recommend you to involve yourself in something that gives you pleasure and relaxes you. It could be painting, watching a movie, talking to your best friend, cooking, singing, meditating, going for a massage etc. You normally work for 9 to 12 hours, so spilt your New Year in a way that neither your work suffers nor you.
