Krishna talks about Tannishtha’s racial abuse controversy
Krishna talks about Tannishtha’s racial abuse controversy:- There were several reports about Tannishtha Chatterjee being upset over few comments which were made by the hosts of the show, Comedy Nights Bachao Taaza. And, that she walked off from the sets. According to her, the hosts made fun of her gloomy complexion and called her as “kaali kalooti” and asked her “aap ko jamun bahut pasand hoga zaroor, kitne jamun khaye aapne bachpan se?”
However, looks like the whole controversy is set to take a huge turnover, as when asked about the same from Krishna Abhishek who is one of the hosts of this show said “Tannishtha is overreacting on this. She is doing all this for publicity. We always meet the actors, even before they come on the show and when I asked her if she had ever seen the show and if she was familiar with our “roasting” concept, she replied that she has never seen the show. She has ever even watched the AIB Roast and If she did not know what the show is all about, she should not have come on the show. But she came along with Radhika Apte and Leena Yadav to promote their upcoming movie Parched, and all of us gave more importance to Radhika who is a bigger star than her, so this could be a problem for Tannishtha, who is popularly known for her festival films.”
While talking about the comment made on her complexion, he said “I did not say any such thing and I do not know who said it. However, in any case, it is a roast format and we did what we do every time. In fact, we brought it down from what it was earlier. Since the start of the shoot she has been enjoying it, but after a while she said that she is not liking this sort of mass humour. Apart from her neither Radhika nor Leena had reported any such problems with our comments. In fact, they were laughing, enjoying and while leaving the sets both Radhika and Leena hugged me and danced with me.”
What actually happened as said by Krishna
As per the controversy over her walking away from the show, he replied that it is not true. “Soon after the third act, we realised that she is not enjoying the show. So we thought she was spoiling the show, and then it was my and director Nikul Desai’s decision that we will send the star cast back because we had already finished doing their film’s integration with the show.”
Their movie Parched released last week and the viewers found it quite interesting! All the actresses acted remarkably in the movie, especially Radhika Apte.
