Good news: Lance Naik Manju becomes the Indian Army’s 1st woman sky diver

Inspiring young girls and women, Lance Naik Manju of Eastern Command from the Corps of Military Police became the 1st woman soldier sky diver of the Indian Army.
She jumped from a height of 10000 ft from the Advanced light helicopter (ALH) Dhruv. She was trained by the skydiving training team of the Indian Army’s adventure wing from the jump.
Khush Khabri: In a 1st women officers to enter the prestigious Army’s staff college
Gender equality and women’s excellence in defence were reemphasized as six women officers were selected for the prestigious defence services staff college (DSSC) for the first time.
Fifteen women had taken this examination, and six got selected. They will join the prestigious war college in Wellington, and their academic session will begin in April next year.
Good news: India’s Koo becomes 2nd largest microblogging platform in the world
India’s microblogging platform Koo has emerged as the 2nd largest microblog. It has achieved the milestone of 50 million downloads and is also seeing an upward trajectory in terms of growth.
At present, Koo is available in 10 languages. It has gained users from over 100 countries, including the US, UK, UAE, Algeria, Singapore, Canada, Nigeria, Iran, Nepal, and India.

Khush Khabri: US clears India from the currency monitoring list
India is no longer on the currency monitoring list of the USA. This move is positive news regarding the market and India’s monetary policy-making.
It has also removed Thailand, Mexico, Vietnam and Italy from the list. There are seven countries on this list- China, Japan, Korea, Germany, Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan.
India to host women’s world boxing championship next year
India is expected to host the women’s world boxing championship in 2023 in New Delhi. Previously India hosted the titles in 2006 and 2018 in New Delhi.
The tournament may happen in Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium around the end of March and 1st week of April.
Islamic institute in Kerala teaches Sanskrit; intends to inform students about other religions

A Muslim educational organization in the Thrissur district of Central Kerala has managed to break stereotypes to impart education and knowledge to its students. Under the watchful gaze of Hindu gurus, the students in long-white robes and white-head dresses can be seen reciting ‘mantras’ & ‘slokas’ in Sanskrit.
The principal of the Academy of Sharia and Advanced Studies (ASAS) run by Malik Deenar Islamic Complex (MIC), Onampilly Muhammad Faizy, mentioned that the objective behind teaching Sanskrit to students is to make them informed and aware of other religions.
Indian Defence firm bags export order for artillery guns worth $155.5 Mn
Kalyani Strategic Systems, a subsidiary of Bharat Forge Ltd, has received an export order for 155 mm Artillery guns worth $155.5 million from a non-conflict zone. According to the Company’s filing with the BSE, the order will be processed over three years.
Bharat Forge manufactures a wide range of critical and safety components for several sectors, including aerospace, automobiles (both passenger & commercial), gas & oil, locomotives, energy, marine, construction, mining and general engineering.
In 2022, the Company produced Kalyani M4 armoured vehicles for the Indian Army for the UN Peacekeeping mission. Since 2021, the defence ministry has announced a staggering ban on importing several weapons to encourage production and export.
