Chief Minister of Tamilnadu J. Jayalalithaa will conduct a mid-air survey of flood affected areas of Chennai, Kanchipuram and Tiruvallu.
There is problem of water logging in many parts of Chennai due to heavy rains and due to which normal lives remained distorted.
More than 500 people have been evacuated in flood-hit Tamil Nadu by several National Disaster Response Force (NDRF).
Earlier, Jayalalithaa had required Rs. 2,000 crore for flood relief work. The Centre released a financial help of of Rs. 939.63 crore for rescue work.
At the moment, Rajya Sabha members offered to contribute a part of their fund for treatment and rescue work in flood affected regions.
