Recent elections in Uttar Pradesh, Mulayam Singh Yadav’s party had lost the governance under the leadership of his son Akhilesh Yadav, who was elected as the Samajwadi Party’s national president in place of his father by the party’s national convention this year on 1st January.

Out of 403 seats Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had conquered 312 seats while Samajwadi Party could only manage to win a mere 47 in the recent elections of Uttar Pradesh.

Earlier, the current Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had announced that district headquarters will get 24-hour power supply. They are working hard to meet the Centre’s target of making the state energy efficient by 2018 and help in ensuring power in all UP villages before 2019. Also, tehsils and villages are to be provided constant electricity for 18 hours.
