The bilateral cricket series between India and Pakistan could well be called off. Chief of PCB, Shahryar Khan stated that the BCCI had declined to play series against Pakistan.
He also added that, Pakistan will be reconsider their decision to play in the T20 World cup 2016, set to be played by in India after discussing with Pakistan government.
Hopes of resumption of bilateral cricketing ties between India and Pakistan with a short series layer this month are dying with too little time left to organize the big ticket event.
We are mulling legal option if the series is indeed cancelled, PCB said. Khan said, “We will decide our future plan abbey analyzing our option under legal aspects and consultations.”
The BCCI had signed a Memorandum of understanding, last year with Pakistan for playing a series in the United Arab Emirates or a mutually agreed country in December 2015. During the reign of N Srinivasan this MOU was signed in order to earn PCB’s vote in his bid of ICC championship.
