Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has announced an international solar alliance of over 120 countries on Monday in the ongoing Paris climate summit.
According to a report, while unveiling it he said “Solar technology is evolving and costs are coming down. He further added that the dream of universal access to clean energy is turning into a reality and this will be the foundation of new economy of the new century”.
The headquarters of the alliance will be located in India and Indian government is investing $30 million initially. The eventual aim is to raise$400 million from them membership fees.
The alliance was described a game changer and its true it can completely change the game as solar energy industry has a lot of scope.
