Lonely planet, the travel , magazine and guide has launched an exclusive guide to explore South India by launching its first travel guide dedicated to Indian travellers. The guide is about South India’s historic culture. Titled ‘Temple Trips South India’, this unique travel guide presents an elaborate insight into South India’s sculptural beauty, architectural grandeur, cultural festivals and more. The guide was launched by Sesh Seshadri, Director and General Manager, Lonely Planet, later in March this year.
The guide provides detailed information of temples and pilgrim destinations across Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. In addition to popular temples in Tirupati, Ramanathswamy and Thanjavur; the travel guide also includes comprehensive features on lesser known temples highlighting the importanckoe of each deity, temple’s history and the wealth of its antiquity. The travel guide has been written by Janaki Venkataraman and Supriya Sehgal.
