The Indian team under the captaincy of Virat kohli will be batting first. The Indian team will wish to score enough that could be defended by it’s bowlers. They must be thinking of setting a target somewhere around 300 runs that could be enough to defend.
Indian team in form
Both the Indian openers, Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma are in best of their forms. In the previous match against Pakistan, both scored a good half century and gave a powerful start to India. Not only the openers, but also the following tail- Skipper Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, Hardik Pandya are doing good for the team. Yuvraj Singh and Hardik Pandya had a strike rate around 200 in the match against Pakistan.
Speaking about the middle order, former captain MS Dhoni is present who is very much capable of playing in critical situations. The bowlers will be trying their best to defend the target that will be set. Jadeja, Bhubaneshwar Kumar, Kedhar Jadhav will be willing to take wickets whenever possible.
Team Sri Lanka
The Sri Lankan team on the other hand is no less. They have played many matches against India and are aware of the Indian strategies. Many of the Sri lankan players have faced Indian players before so, it would be easy for them to tackle. Captain Mathews can do a great job today. Sri Lankan pacer Lasith Malinga knows very well how to deal with Indian batsmen.
