Once again get ready for the blockbuster event as India and Pakistan are all set to lock horns for the final of Champions Trophy. India and Pakistan are once again in the finals. Once again, the world’s eye will be on this match. It always happens that whenever India and Pakistan play against each other, it’s much more than a match. A normal cricket match turns into a war and the world wants to know who will win.

India and Pakistan do not play friendly series with each other due to some tensions among both the countries. In that case, whenever they face each other in such big tournaments, everyone gets curious for the match. In this Champions Trophy, both the teams were in the same group and have played one match against each other. In the previous match India defeated Pakistan.

History is repeating itself

There are some times when the history repeats itself. Same is the case with this big final between both the countries. India and Pakistan have never been in the finals together after the 2007 T20 world cup. Once again, when both the teams have qualified for the finals, everyone is remembering that last 2007 match.

In the last match of the 2007 T20 World cup, India defeated Pakistan in the finals and became the debut winners. It was a match full of critical situations, twists and turns and India made it in the final over of the match. Dhoni’s captaincy was being praised as his decision to give the bowl in the hand of Joginder Sharma in the last over worked positively.

Team comparison: India and Pakistan

Both the teams have performed absolutely magnificent and that is why they have made it to the finals of this tournament. Both the teams are best in their own way. One team has the best batting lineup and the other team is known for its bowling in the world. One team has some good spinners and the other has the best of the fast bowlers in the world.

Team India

The Indian team is full of confidence and trust on itself at the present situation. The team players have worked hard on their weaknesses and came a long way under the young captain, Virat Kohli. This team has the best openers Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma who are capable enough to give a powerful start. After the openers the team is blessed with world’s no. 1 ranked batsman, skipper Virat kohli. The batting line up doesn’t end here. After Kohli, they have powerful hitter Yuvraj Singh and the best finisher, Mahendra Singh Dhoni in its squad.

Batting is the best thing in this team. Even all rounder Hardik Pandya, Jadeja and Ashwin are capable to play in the most critical situations.

The team will have to work upon its bowling, though no mistakes have been done till now in this tournament. Bhubaneshwar Kumar is very much capable to give a good start with the new ball and the spinners Ashwin and Jadeja are ready to carry with it.

Team Pakistan

As the Pakistan team has reached the finals defeating Sri Lanka and England, thinking them to be on a weaker side will be a big mistake. Though India has defeated Pakistan in this tournament before, but one cannot rely on the previous match. Thinking that you have defeated them once so you can defeat them again is a big mistake. The Pakistan would have worked hard on their mistakes and will not want to repeat them again in this match.

The Pakistani team is blessed to have the fast bowlers like Junaid Khan and Muhammad Amir and Rumman Raees. The team has all rounder like Mohammad Hafeez who can help the team to come out from the most critical situations.

Talking about the batting, the team has skipper Sarfraz who has done his best in the last match against England. Along with Sarfaraz, the team has Ahmad Shehzad and Azhar Ali who can beat the Indian bowling.
