Irrfan Khan is back with another relevant and significant issue
Well, Irrfan Khan is back with another relevant issue of our country. Hindi Medium, which also stars Saba Qamar and Deepak Dobriyal deals with the loopholes of education system in our country. It is no secret that education in India has become more of a money – making business and underprivileged students are suffering due to the quota system. Directed by Saket Chaudhary, Hindi Medium finely describes the problems faced by parents and their children with a strong tadka of humour.
Story of the film revolves around Raj Batra( Irrfan Khan), a boutique owner in Chandini Chowk. He lives in Delhi with his childhood sweetheart and now wife Mita (Saba Qamar) and daughter Pia. Now, both of them want their daughter to study in an English Medium School. They try hard but they fail.
Later, they find out that Pia could get admission in RTE (Right to Education) quota in a posh school. So the couple decides to act poor. Along with Pia, they shift to a slum area, where they meet Shyam( Deepak Dobriyal). After that, their life takes a turn. Will Pia get into the school her parents want her to study? What will happen?
Songs of the film are already driving the young generation crazy. The brownie point of the film is that it shines in two areas that most of our films fall short of- the good writing and good humour- with great timings.
Talking about Deepak Dobriyal, he is just superb. Yes, Irrfan Khan is the show- stealer, but Deepak has done a fabulous job. In some scenes he will make you laugh out loud, and in some scenes, he will leave you misty- eyed.
Sab Qamar, as the dominating wife is sheer delight onscreen. She did a wonderful job as Meethu. She has perfectly portrayed the character of a concerned mother, who knows the importance of overall development of a child.
I rate it 4 stars. If you also want to be a part of this hilarious class, which has some very emotional lessons too. You can visit your nearby cinema halls. I guarantee you will come out with a smiling face.
