Gayatri Prajapati’s bail cancelled
It seems that Gayatri Prajapati is left with no other option. According to reports, the bail which was granted to him along with his two supporters by lower court has been cancelled by High Court. Notably, they were granted bail by the additional session court on April 25, but the high court has put a stay on it. The ex –minister was found guilty in a rape case.
Why the bail order is cancelled?
The Allahabad High Court found a big scam in the bail procedure of UP’s alleged ex-minister Gayatri Ptajapatri. Senior judges are found guilty in the primary investigation rounds.
The facts came to light after Allahabad High court Chief Justice Dilip B Bhosale sought an inquiry into Prajapati’s bail. In his report, Bhosale told that additional district and sessions judge O P Mishra, who granted bail to Prajapati on April 25, was posted as POCSO (protection of children from sexual offences) judge on April 7 when he had only three weeks left for the completion of his tenure and his retirement. He was appointed by avoiding laws and guidelines and by removing a judge who was “handling the assignment efficiently” for a year.
The report said the grant of bail was settled upon payment of RS 10 crore, of which RS 5 crore was shared among three lawyers who acted as middlemen and RS 5 crore was paid to the POCSO judge (Mishra) and district judge Rajendra Singh who posted Mishra to the sensitive court.
The Reason for Prajapati’s jail
Gayatri, a former SP minister, and his aides were arrested on March 15 on charges of gang-raping a woman and attempting to rape her daughter. The FIR was registered. He remained underground for some time, when UP elections were going- on he was seen at a polling booth with his security guards.
The police failed in this case very badly as they were not able to track Prajapati. He ran away so easily and the police was not able to track him.
