Google free WiFi is now available at 100 Indian Railway Stations
Railwire WiFi, collaboration between RailTel and Google has been one of the most ambitious projects of Sundar Pichai. Finally, Google free WiFi has reached its 100th destination and with this Indian Railway passengers would be able to enjoy free WiFi at 100 Railway Stations.
Notably, Google Railwire WiFi finally reached Udhagamandalam station, and the mission of search connected got completed because now Google has connected 100 of the busiest railway stations across India with free Wi-Fi.
Google has literally achieved a milestone because Railwire will give access to around 10 million across India, who visit these stations every day now.
Google’s Railwire WiFi is capable of streaming HD videos and is seen as ideal for downloading offline videos or e-book for the journey ahead.
According to Google, with Railwire around 15,000 people accessed internet for the first time ever.
Notably, back in September when Sundar Pichai was in India, he had announced to connect 400 railway stations with free wireless internet access.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is leaving no stone unturned in making India Digital, and Railwire project is really turning this dream into reality.
Google will now target its remaining 300 destinations and interestingly, Google has already announced a new tool to roll- out Wi- Fi hotspots in public places.
Google has planned to provide free WiFi at more places other than Railway Stations.
In January, Google launched its first Wifi service at Mumbai Central and it has reached its 100th destination and the next aim is to provide internet to 300 stations in next couple of years.
So now you will not get bore while travelling because free Wi-Fi will enable you to download videos, e- books and much more which will make your journey interesting and fun –filled.
