Remembering the “King of Ghazals” on His Sixth Death Anniversary!
Music is not mere a vocal or instrumental sounds but a form of beauty and harmony which gives solace to the soul. Music has a power to heal even the deepest wounds. Music is a part of each and everyone’s life and some of you may deny this statement while reading it, but believe us, it is and it always will be a part of one’s life to heal the broken part of ours which nothing but only music can heal. On this very day, a legend who grow amidst himself around Ghazals and music said Alvida(Bye) to this world six years ago. Yes, we are talking about Jagjit Singh.
Jagjit Singh aka Jagmohan Singh Dhigam was born on 8th February in Bikaner state. Iconic Ghazal singer, music composer and musician was known as the “Ghazal King”. His voice has a magic and even today’s generations loves his voice. If you haven’t heard him yet, we would like to suggest you to listen his “Koi fariyaad” song and you will get to know the depth of his voice through his words. This is not the only song, but almost every song of Jagjit sahab hits the right cord.
