According to a report, former British Prime Minister David Cameron resigned from his seat in the House of Commons on Monday. Notably this came in less than three months after losing an EU referendum in which he had campaigned to stay in the bloc.
He had stepped down from his post in June when Brexit happened and handover his power to his successor Theresa May in July.

Cameron in a statement said “the circumstances of my resignation as Prime Minister and the realities of modern politics make it very difficult to continue (Parliament) without the risk of becoming a diversion.”
He also added that British will thrive under the strong leadership of Theresa May. Notably his resignation from the parliament was unusually quick because former prime ministers have typically retained their seats for a number of years after leaving office.
