Over thousands gathered in Auckland’s Holy Trinity Cathedral for New Zealand cricket player Martin Crowe to bid him a final goodbye during the memorial service.
Crowe, who died at 53, was remembered by near ones and his teammates as not just a loving father but also a great leader on field and prankster off it.
When Ian Smith was addressing the mourners teary eyed, he described how difficult it was for him when Crowe himself asked him to write his eulogy. He also said that if he had to sum up Martin Crowe and everything he did in one word then it will be passion.
The grief is huge for anyone who knew the cricketer.
