Face the new Varanasi with Mohalla Assi
Mohalla Assi’s trailer might shake you up with the reality it portrays about the new Varanasi and of course along with the kind of words being used in the movie. Well, when trailer has so much of it, we wonder what the entire movie will portray to us. Yes, it is a bold step taken up by the director Chandra Prakash Dwivedi to show what is actually happening in Varanasi in the name of holiness and how a simple pandit tries to not make the Ganges-ghat as a picnic spot and the Ganges a swimming pool.
Starring Sunny Deol, Sakshi Tanwar and Ravi Kishen in leads, the movie would show us all three of them in a different role. The surprise package of this movie is Sunny Deol, who for the first time would not be seen in a fighting or aggressive role rather be seen as a Pandit. Sakshi plays wife of Sunny Deol and Ravi Kishen plays as a tourist guides who introduces the place to every foreigner who lands up in Varanasi. Will the land remain holy and not become a place for foreigners to find weed, drugs etc.? Well, we have to wait to know what happens beyond the trailer.
With quite bold dialogues and scenes, we yet again see someone having faith on the audience to be able to handle it but it stays questionable that when almost everything which is considered bad or inhumane or disastrous for society is being banned, would this movie make to big screens without any protests etc.?
