Union Environment Minister Anil Dave Passed Away. PM calls it personal loss
Union Environment Minister Anil Dave passed away this morning. He was 60. Notably, the minister was not well from last few months. Today, he complained of uneasiness at his home and was rushed to AIIMS where he passed away, according to reports.
According to reports, he was with Prime Minister last evening and was discussing some key issues. News of his death came as a shock for Bhartiya Janta Party. Prime Minister took to twitter to offer his condolences to the family. He also wrote, “This demise is a personal loss.” He further added, “He will be remembered for his contribution. He was tremendously passionate towards conserving the environment.”

Dave who hailed from Madhya Pradesh took charge as Environment Minister on July 6, 2016. The minister was elected to Rajya Sabha in 2009. Notably, the minister was also on the consultative committee for the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. From March to June 2010, Dave was a member to Parliamentary forum on Global Warming and Climate Change.
Notably, Anil Dave is the second minister of the Modi government to have died in office. Earlier, Gopinath Munde had lost his life in a car accident in 2014.
President Pranab Mukherjee also offered his condolence and wrote, “Shocked by sudden demise of Union Environment Minister Anil Dave; deepest condolences to is family and well wishers. His contribution in the political world will always be remembered.”
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley also expressed his gratitude for the minister, who was passionate worker of Bhartiya Janta Party. His sudden death has shocked everyone.
